Ludovic Richard, Best Craftsman of France (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) in the Bakery category, grew up in his family’s bakery in Morbihan, where he developed a passion for the craft from an early age.
This immersion in the world of bread shaped his career and fueled his ambition to become a master artisan.

After completing various training programs (CAP in pastry and baking, Master’s Degree in Baking) and making meaningful connections, the Chef took part in several prestigious baking competitions, including the European Baking Cup and the World Cup. He built a reputation for rigor and innovation. He earned the prestigious title of MOF in 2000. His passion for teaching and his desire to elevate the craft have made him a key figure in French baking.

He now shares his expertise as a teacher at a high school in Morbihan, where he trains future bakers and continues to inspire a new generation of artisans. He also teaches at various institutions, including the prestigious Bellouet School in Paris.
He is recognized for his technical mastery, but also for his dedication to passing on knowledge.
The Chef has also expanded his horizons by opening a bakery in the heart of Tokyo, Japan.

Today, Ludovic Richard is hosting exclusive masterclasses for VoilaChef and shares with us his leaven expertise: a course on leaven and flour technology, as well as ultra-generous muesli bars, indulgent brioches with a soft, airy crumb, and natural or multigrain breads.
